Happily Letter After GoodReads Vivian Mae status

Mia and Ben from Where I Belong (Alabama Summer Series) by J. Daniels was a lovely enemies to lovers romance. It was endearing, shocking, might I add hair pulling at times (damn it Mia!)

Mia comes back for the summer to visit her best friend Tessa, and it’s been years since she had been there. Mia moved to Georgia when she was eight and Tessa’s brother, Ben, happened to be the boy that tormented her, her entire little childhood life.

So their kind of “meet cute” was very anticipated for me. I don’t want to spoil it, but anyways by the time Ben and Mia meet, Mia holds the biggest grudge over Ben for tormenting her and essentially creating insecurities within her all of those years.

Rightfully so! What a dick head he was.

Ben realizes his mistake and tries to win her love over. It wasn’t easy, but seeing their journey together as they grow in their love and the damn twists that J. Daniel created, the hurt and tears I felt. DAMN YOU! But, I loved it.

I’m rating this a four, I do highly recommend it. I know it’s an older story, but super cute.

Honestly though, there were moments I wanted to slap the shit out of Mia for her ridiculous insecurities when it came to Ben, toward the end though, where it wasn’t warranted. I get it though, it’s part of the story. I just wanted to buzz my hair off though, that’s fine.
