Sadie and Sebastian in Happily Letter After by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward was such a delightful story to listen to!
One of the great things about 2020 for me, was discovering both of these authors and the beautiful stories they create. This happened to be another one that was fantastic.
As I listened to it, it reminded me a lot of Sleepless in Seattle, which was cute, where Sebastian’s daughter, Birdie, sends letters to “Santa” who happens to Sadie. It is part of her holiday column at the magazine she works for. She fulfills Birdie’s wishes, but in the process she sees Sebastian and oh, the oh-so-hunky muscular single Dad needed to find love. And OH DID HE!
This slow burn romance was again, super sweet since it centers around Birdie, which is Sebastian’s daughter. I highly recommend reading it and seeing all of the crazy things Sadie ends up doing to get close to Birdie and ultimately Sebastian.
What I Enjoyed:
Birdie and Sadie’s relationship was very heart warming, and I’d be lying if her letters didn’t make me cry. (I’m not crying, you’re fucking crying!😭)
