Revealing Book Cover of Lawsuit and Leather

Hello friends and lovers!

Wow, oh wow!

We’re here, after months and months of writing this story, seeing it become what it is currently, it has been such a delight. I may have pulled a few pieces of hair in the process, but all worth it!

I have to say something about book covers.

We’re always told as authors we have no right to work on our own covers, but I say that’s total bull, because if we have that skill set and we know how to bring our vision to life, then why not?

I took on the book cover, because I had a specific vision in mind and while it may have changed various times, it was necessary to achieve exactly the cover I needed for Lawsuit and Leather.

I have to say, I am damn proud of how it turned out. I knew the moment I completed it, it was the one. I was emotional over it to say the least.

It took believing in myself to be able to achieve this.

And sometimes knowing that not all advice, provided out there for indie authors, will be right for us.

If you’d like to help me celebrate today by sharing my book cover on social media, I’d appreciate it so much! Maybe one of your friends will love to read this along with you once it comes out!

Every comment, like, share, story post on Instagram, TikTok, or any social media truly helps me out so much and ensure I can continue writing!

How did you create your cover?

I’ve been a graphic designer in the past for a fashion company and photographer. I’ve been in the creative arts realm for over 10 years. Photoshop is my best friend. I just needed to believe in myself and realize I could make an amazing book cover that will showcase my book the best!

The three things I needed in order to achieve this:

  • Shutterstock

    • When I tell you I searched for weeks, each day at least 2-3 hours until I finally found the image in my book cover, I wouldn’t be exaggerating. It truly took me so much patience.

  • Creative Market

    • Another place where I spent hours and hours looking for the perfect fonts to place together for Lawsuit and Leather.

  • Photoshop

    • I’ve been working with photoshop for over a decade, so that certainly helps. I’m very comfortable with the ins and outs of the program and graphic design.

    • If you’re interested in a book cover design, let me know. If I have enough interest, I’d love to create a shop for this.

What do you think of Lawsuit and Leather’s cover? I know I’ve been teasing it for… what feels like EVER! I truly hope you love it and I know when you read it, the cover will certainly come to life even more.

Who will be your book boyfriend from this new series?

Personally, I am torn! I absolutely love things about each guy. My default is always bad boy, but Parker melts my heart so much too. It’s hard. I cannot wait for you to read this!

Happy Thursday!

XoXo, Viv
