Revealing Lawsuit and Leather Character - Alex Rivers
Hello friends and lovers!
It’s that time again, where we will be learning about Lawsuit and Leather’s first MMC and the requested character was to learn more about Alex Rivers, aka Alejandro. (There’s a story there, but that’d include spoilers so I’ll leave the tease there for now!)
In this love triangle Alex Rivers is a celebrity bad boy that the media just can’t get enough of. And if I’m being completely honest, Alex Rivers is a wild card. You don’t know what type of time you’re going to have with him, because he’ll keep you at the edge of your seat at all times.
But, who doesn’t love an unpredictable mess?
I have a bullet list of what you can expect from Alex Rivers as a character and he’s a total baddie, reckless, and devilishly sexy.
Celebrity
Total bad boy
Is from Los Angeles, CA
He has tattoos! 🤤
Total daddy vibes, him and FMC have a 10 year age gap
He is 40 years old
Tragic past (you know I love giving tragic pasts to my characters 😮🥺)
Describe him in 6 adjectives: protective, observant, cunning, mysterious, persistent, confident
His favorite color is black and he enjoys wearing his all time favorite leather jacket, hence the “Leather” in the book title.
Fun fact for you, when I originally wrote Lawsuit and Leather, Alex’s name was written as Jesse. At the time I loved that name, I thought it was downright sexy until I came across his new, new name.
On instagram I did have a poll, not sure who remembers that one, but I asked between the two names: Jesse and Alejandro.
Of course, Alejandro won by a long shot. So here we are, with celebrity Alex (for short) Rivers now.
Another fun fact, I am a total sucker for bad boys in romance novels, and writing this love triangle has proven to be quite interesting. My husband, he’s my developmental editor and he’s a fan of the other MMC (You will meet him next month!) while I am totally Team Alex, so it was a fun journey of having a great balance between these two male characters. I think it is what will help our love triangle stand out amongst many others I have read.
We placed so much thought into developing the story that we don’t want you to know who our FMC ends up picking until the end, if she picks.
I’ve read love triangles where it seemed obvious from the get go on who the character would choose, and while there is nothing wrong with that, I enjoy the mystery of guessing and being thrown in for a loop.
The next reveal in December will be the second MMC! They are in no particular order, I previously asked and many of you wanted to know about the bad boy
