Your Irresistible Love - Book Review
Synopsis:
I know what people think when they hear the name Sebastian Bennett. Determined. Ruthless. Head of a business empire. From the outside, I look bulletproof. Behind closed doors, though, family always comes first. My parents. My eight–yes, eight–siblings. Every single one of them nagging at me to settle down and get married. I may be bulletproof, but I can’t seem to deflect them. No matter how many times I patiently explain that I don’t believe in love. I hadn’t counted on Ava Lindt. Beautiful. Funny. Just as stubborn as I am. It’s frankly infuriating. I only hired her as a consultant to make our next jewelry collection launch unforgettable. So why is it thoughts of her that I can’t shake? Those curves, that smile… it’s irresistible. And completely off-limits. She won’t risk her job. I won’t risk my heart. But one kiss, one touch at a time, our sizzling chemistry is turning into a deep connection. With her time at Bennett Enterprises drawing to a close, I’ll have to decide what I was wrong about– her, or love.
Hello friends and lovers,
Ava and Sebastian Bennet. I have to admit… Bennet already sounds like a hot name and paired with Sebastian 👌. Thinking about how he is a Billionaire CEO, CEO, he is a sexy CEO.
I’m sorry, but I had to. Sebastian likes to repeat himself since he takes his title very serious.
Time for my review.
I came across this book on YouTube, it’s an audiobook on there and I really enjoyed it. (Side note: I have always been so against audiobooks, believing they would take the charm away from reading it myself, but it was quite the opposite experience.) I’ll link it below if you would like to listen to it.
Ava is a marketing consultant who is hired on at Bennett’s Enterprise for four months. From the big city of New York, she flies to San Francisco for this gig.
Unknowingly, she ends up meeting the sexy Billionaire CEO owner of the enterprise. Him and most of his family work there.
You see, Sebastian grew up on the farm where his parents were farmers and they struggled growing up as they raised nine children. NINE. FUCKING. CHILDREN. WHAT!
Sebastian worked hard to make something of himself to take care of his family. He’s a pretty perfectly humble man.
Fast forward: Sebastian and Ava really hit it off after their initial meeting. Sebastian like to give orders, such as “I’m taking you to lunch, no if ands or buts!” Although Ava is more of an independent woman, she complies. She has a bit of a wall built up, but she’s weak in the knees for Sebastian, therefore it melts away pretty quickly as he courts her in the beginning.
What I Enjoyed:
Ava and Sebastian’s chemistry is intoxicating and I found myself laughing along with her embarrassing moments and cute conversations. The two really seem to fall in love in a short time and I’m ok with that. It’s a whirlwind type of romance. The kind that’s fun to listen too, a feel good, etc…
The sex scenes were pretty great to hear. More of a tease, but enjoyable none the less. More on the romantic side. (I enjoyed more of the erotic type of sex scenes, or maybe dark type.)
Oh anI loved getting to know all of the characters in Sebastian’s family. From parents down to “adopted Bennet’s.” They all have great distinct personalities, which is a hard thing to accomplish. Love it, Layla!
Pippa, who is Sebastian’s sister (one of them), is a great supporting character. I really enjoyed her presence.
What I Didn’t Like:
There isn’t anything to like from this story. It’s constructed as a sweet romance and that is exactly what I got.
