Skyrocket Pinterest Engagement With 1 Tip

Pinterest is a tricky search engine to understand and I’ll be the first to tell you that. I still don’t fully understand Pinterest.

So why are you here are on page?

Maybe I didn’t help my point, however you’ll be excited when you see my engagement go from a full on flatline to, my Pinterest has skyrocketed DUE TO 1 TIP!

Sure, I know most blog posts give you at least five tips, twenty, thirty. So why click on the post that has 1? Well, sometimes you only have time to focus on one!

**Also, quick note. Aside from the 6 figure impressions I now have, I have gained so many followers. I was a sitting duck at 100 followers since I started my Pinterest last year! LAST YEAR! Now I’m over 600 followers because of this.

Moving on. Here we go!

This chart shows how awful I was doing in April. April was completely awful, I tried pinning my fresh content straight from my website, loading onto group boards, but nothing. My blog posts I worked so hard on were going unnoticed like a ghost. Also, there is red, red, red everywhere! It was so frustrating seeing it red week after week with no success. I almost gave up.

So how did I flip my numbers from being red day after day to being green with 101k monthly visits?

IDEA PINS (formally known as Story Pins).

No joke, idea pins revived my Pinterest game and here is how.

Repurpose Your TikTok/Reel Videos

• I repurposed my tiktok content and uploaded WITHOUT a watermark to Pinterest. This is very important. Social media platforms need fresh content and by having a watermark, they will not boost it, therefore your amazing content will not reach its highest potential.

Upload to Pinterest and you are almost set!

Next tip: Keywords

• Keywords. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The same bullshit we always hear. Keywords. Well it’ll help your idea pins from low 100-400 impressions to tens of thousands, even millions! (My highest currently is 15k views!)

TIP: on Pinterest, begin typing your preferred keyword and look at the auto populated list. Those are real organic searches from people. Use those keywords to place into your “description” on your idea pin.

Final Tips

• Make sure your video is engaging for the best results. It needs to have a hook.

• Upload at least one video a day. I have been uploading one a day anywhere from 8am-12pm in MST (my timezone). I keep it to one, but may try uploading two at a time in July to test the waters and see if it garners a higher reach.

This is May’s impression chart. I began uploading May 7th so you can see the impressions begin to shift from the low hundreds to being in the thousands range, earning me a total impressions of 61k! That is a HUGE difference from the 13k in April.

I have no words for my June impressions. I reached over 100k impressions and I’ve NEVER seen these type of numbers before, all because of uploading my repurposed TikTok content.
