Move the Stars (Book 3) by Jessica Hawkins - Book Review
Synopsis
Manning
When I close my eyes, I can no longer see her. The decisions I made were to push Lake in the right direction—away from me. But now that she’s gone, would I have made those same choices?
I’d walked away like I was supposed to. I’d kept my distance. I’d bent over backward to keep Lake pure, but she’s no longer that girl, and I don’t know if I can stay away anymore. I only know I don’t want to. She’s still everything I want and nothing I should ever have, but if anyone can move the stars, it’s her great bear in the sky.
Book three in the USA Today bestselling Something in the Way series, a love saga.
Hello friends and lovers!
Book. number. Three. I’m invested in this story! Anyone else?
Literally, I screamed throughout most of the chapters, because LAKE + MANNING! OMG! I abused my bed by slapping the shit out of it during intense moments of the story. I’m spoiler free, so I’m keeping my trap shut, but let me just say… Jessica Hawkins really knows how to put me through a roller coaster full of emotions. I cried, I laughed when Manning would tease Lake, absolute perfection of a story.
If they made a movie on these characters, I wouldn’t be the least bit upset.
I just created a GoodReads profile and I absolutely love that I can share my reviews on there and check other opinions on the books I read. It’s a really cool community and I will start showing my notes that I make as I read, because it helps me to remember how I felt during a certain moment in time.
I’ll never do any spoilers though, I learned my lesson on that.

Seriously though, Good Reads is amazing and it allows me to keep tabs on my book review notes. (See below!)
What I Enjoyed:
I enjoyed the change of scenery in the story, although I miss hearing about New York too.
I enjoyed the entire book and how it made me feel. Happiness, sadness, excited!
What I Didn’t Like:
Maybe it’s just me, but sometimes Val really gets on my nerves with her righteous attitude. Not saying we don’t need her as a character, she’s good for the story and for Lake, but I just get annoyed with Val in general.
Rating: 💋💋💋💋💋/ 5
This book… I swear Manning was quite the fool in some parts, but he is so lovable and I can’t imagine Lake with anyone but him.
this third installment of the series is the roller coaster we were expecting, but at the same time there are twists and turns I didn’t see coming, which made for a great story.
As always, Jessica Hawkins is quite the amazing author and she’s quickly becoming a favorite!
Steamy Rating: 💋💋💋💋💋/ 5
The fucking shit I’ve been waiting for and it was well worth the fucking wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Manning became my book boyfriend back in book one, we book a break for book two, but BOOK 3, hello lover!! We are back on!

The owner didn't give me access to her most intimate desires, but I devour them anyway. Her private darkness, her candid, explicit poetry-it all goes down like warm milk. And from that point forward, I drink, eat, and sleep her.
Halston: I went to his apartment and let him take my picture. Just once, to see how it would feel. I'm not his to look at, to inspire, to touch, but when he watches me through his lens, it gives me a high I don't want to come down from...My journal is the one place I can be myself-as long as I can tie it up and put it away when I'm finished.
